HOW I GOT OVER: A CONVERSATION WITH JANET MOCK
Event on 2017-06-26 19:00:00
The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space at WNYC will present a special conversation with writer, TV host and advocate Janet Mock and author, cultural critic, and WNYC editor Rebecca Carroll.

Mock will discuss race, activism and her new memoir "Surpassing Certainty," which revisits her journey through young adulthood – from navigating her trans identity to learning to advocate for herself, so that she could also advocate for others.

“How I Got Over” is a live event series exploring how language reinforces social constructs around race and how – through art, philosophy, social innovations and other disruptive approaches – we can reinvent and reimagine new expressions and new meanings.
