Beyond Borders Storytelling: Unexpected Jam
Event on 2017-06-20 19:30:00
Unexpected: When life is tired of being predictable. Celebrate the wonders of getting caught off guard. We'll have stories of staring down the business end of life's curveballs and tales of just being damn wrong. We don't always love surprises, but they make for great adventures, hard lessons, and sometimes, a clever punchline. A preview from some of our storytellers Felicia Leigh: When a much-anticipated stint working on a Bavarian farm falls apart, Felicia flees to Paris. What's a girl's next move when she's broke, homeless and wandering the banks of the Seine? Jenny Moylan: When Jennie’s Togolese colleagues propose an unusual budget for a school construction project, she assumes the worst. Tara Yudenfreund: A restless Tara strikes off on her own during a dull island tour in Vietnam. Adventures abound off the beaten path, but wait…where was she supposed to meet her group again? Angelo Monsalve: Angelo books a one-way trip to Guatemala with no plans, no hotel reservations, and no idea what to expect. What could possibly go wrong? Arya Zarrinkelk: After being away for a few days Arya expected things to be a little out of sort, but he never expect this. Beyond Borders Storytelling features wanderlusting adventurers with a story to tell.
