2017 West Chester Preservation Awards

2017 West Chester Preservation Awards
Event on 2017-10-19 17:30:00
The West Chester Downtown Foundation created the West Chester Preservation Awards to recognize projects, programs, and individuals that have helped to highlight and preserve West Chester's historic character. By bringing attention to such efforts, the WCDF hopes to encourage and engage business owners and residents of West Chester Borough in good preservation practices to strengthen the Borough's historic fabric. Categories for Nomination are as follows: Bricks and Mortar Awards  – Awarded to recognize construction projects of exceptional quality for the preservation, restoration, or rehabilitation of historic buildings, structures, objects, sites, and landscapes, as well as new construction that is sensitive to West Chester’s historic fabric. Preservation Service Awards – Awarded to individuals and organizations in recognition of educational and/or advocacy projects, publications, events, and activities that educate the community and promote a better understanding of the history of West Chester and the need to preserve the physical evidence of that history.  West Chester Preservation Legacy Award – Awarded to an individual (living or deceased) or organization in recognition of outstanding contributions to the better understanding of West Chester's history and the preservation of the Borough's historic fabric. Please plan to attend our preservation Awards Ceremony and Reception to be held on the evening of Thursday, October 19, 2017, 5:30 pm at the Chester County Historical Society.  Join our growing list of supporters!  Please contact Elizabeth McGuire:  EMcGuire@WCBID.com to support the West Chester Preservation Awards program.
